Record-Breaking Summit DD Food Drive

Summit DD staff strive to go above and beyond to support our community. And this summer’s staff food drive was no exception. Together we collected a whopping 4,840 lbs of food, shattering last winter’s drive at only 2,500 lbs. “The Akron-Canton Food Bank is a valuable resource used by many people we support. Summit DD Celebrates First Annual Inclusion Day with the Akron RubberDucks

More than 900 staff, individuals, families and community members expected

(Tallmadge, Ohio) – On Sunday, August 30, approximately 900 people will celebrate Inclusion Day with the Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board, or Summit DD, as the Akron RubberDucks play the Richmond Flying Squirrels at Canal Park, 300 South Main Street, Akron.  The festivities begin at 1:05 with a ballpark lunch and then a chance to run the bases after the game.
