Information about community-based child care support from Summit DD
As of 2014, Summit DD has supported more than 61 children in inclusive child care settings in 26 privately run centers, and trained over 475 child care professionals through the Community Partnership for Inclusion program, or CPI.
Services are provided to individuals ages Birth-12 who have been found eligible to receive services through the Summit DD Board and can safely be served in the community with supports.
Services are provided at community-based settings in area child care centers, school aged before and after school programs and early childhood program setting.
Hours of Services
The hours of services will vary. Services are provided based on the needs of the specific child and/or the centers need for support.

Services are funded through Local Levy dollars.
There are no out-of-pocket fees to participate in the Community Partnerships for Inclusion (CPI) program. We do require any CPI partner centers to attend our “Inclusion” training series in order to receive ongoing support at the center.

Specific Services Offered:
The primary purpose of Community Partnerships for Inclusion (CPI) is to support child care centers in the community with assistance to become more inclusive, serving children with disabilities in their neighborhood setting. Board staff will provide trainings and support that will assist centers in working with children with special needs.
