Caring Bunny

Autism Speaks presents kids the opportunity to enjoy the Easter Bunny in a fun and sensory-friendly environment. Registration Required

FREE Akron St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Friday Night Fun: Easter Egg Hunt

Bounce on trampolines, climb through the obstacle courses, jump in the bounce houses and search for eggs. Candy, prizes, games and more. For ages 4-12.

When: April 7th from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Cuyahoga Falls Annual Easter Egg Hunt

This free event is sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department and includes an egg and candy hunt, a visit from the Easter Bunny, and a contest for the best decorated eggs!

When: Saturday, April 15th
Decorated Easter Egg Contest Judging: 1:30 p.m.
Egg Hunt: 2:00 p.m.

Fun for Everyone

Hale Farm & Village Maple Sugar Express

Climb aboard the train to Hale Farm and Village and explore the Maple Sugar Festival! You will have the chance to help the staff with sap collection during this fun, family event that blends history and agriculture with science. Ticket includes a pancake breakfast with the price of admission. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for children (ages 3-12).

Art Tales: Surreal Seuss-Style Stories

What creative adventures would Dr. Seuss’s characters have at the art museum? Celebrate the birthday of Dr. Seuss with some seriously silly stories! Engage your tiny book lover in an interactive storytelling experience where art and story become one through song, rhyme and imagery. FREE for members. $10/non-member child.

Bark in the Park Pledge Walk & Pet Expo

Bark in the Park Pledge Walk & Pet Expo is a chance for you and your pet to enjoy an exciting community event together while also benefiting the thousands of animals rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed by the Humane Society of Summit County each year! Registration is only $5 and includes admission. Children under 12 are free.

Downtown Akron Artwalk

Experience local art, live music and fun for all ages at the award-winning Artwalk in Downtown Akron for free.

Day Out with Thomas

Take a train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine. It’s the perfect day out for the whole family! Enjoy magicians, bounce houses, balloon artists, face painting and more. Visit CVSR for hours of operation and pricing.

Library Events

Sensory Storytime

This adapted program offers educational, literacy and social opportunities for children of all ages with differing abilities, their siblings, parents/caregivers and their typically developing peers through the use of story, music and movement to engage the participants. Registration Required.

When: 3rd Saturdays monthly at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Yoga Play (Ages 3-5)

Join in on a multi-sensory yoga experience. Play and learning to create an inspiring adventure.

Scavenger Hunt Saturday

Children of all ages are invited to stop by the Children’s Department one Saturday a month for a Scavenger Hunt. Find hidden book covers, complete special word games and puzzles, answer trivia questions and watch a movie or play a wii game, all on a special theme. This program will last the entire day and families are welcome to stop in anytime.

Messy Monday

Bring the kids for some messy fun.

Paws for Reading

Practice reading skills and build the reading confidence of beginning or struggling readers by reading to Therapy Dogs International dog friends. Children of all ages are welcome.

YMCA Camps

Camp Y-Noah: From the Wacky Campfire to the closing Ceremony, camp is magical, exciting, and fun. Your camper will connect with nature and other kids as they have adventures they will remember the rest of their life

Camp Tippecanoe Overnight Camps: Overnight Camp offers fun and independence in a safe, nature-filled environment. Campers learn to make decisions and grow in independence as they choose the activities they want to participate in throughout the week. Campers also create lasting bonds and memories in their cabin groups, all while learning valuable social and interpersonal skills.

Discover Adventure Mini-Adventure Camp: Imagine as a child having access to a lush, safe haven full of adventure and limitless opportunities to grow; imagine as a parent seeing in your child a surge of compassion and responsibility. At Mini-Adventure camp, we have seen this happen in just 3 days and 3 nights.

Home on the Ranch Mini-Ranch Camp: A great introduction for new and young campers who want to give camp a try but aren’t sure they can stay a full week. We do our best to fit a full week of excitement into 4 days and 3 nights.

Literary Camps: With themes like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Star Wars and Ranger’s Apprentice these literary camps can be the perfect balance of fun, learning and the camper’s imagination!
