Earning your ideal job, it’s one of the most rewarding revelations in life. You feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. At Summit DD, we’ve made it a mission to provide people with developmental disabilities equal opportunities to work in their community, among their peers.
Through Community Employment services, we help individuals find their career calling. We’ve recently partnered with Rockwell Automation, the world’s largest company dedicated to industrial automation. “They really stand out as a great employer. They’re very precise and truly vested in creating opportunity,” stated Community Employment Manager, Cynthia Cagno.
After a detailed interview process, Summit DD Community Employment staff found the right fit for Rockwell. “Jeff, Frank, Elena and Richard are reliable, hardworking and always get the job done. What more could a boss ask for?” remarked Rockwell Manufacturing Engineer, Jason Marks.
Jeff, Frank, Elena and Richard, along with veteran Rockwell employees Maria Palanca and DeLane Davis, and others, all work as a team on the factory floor. Together, they assemble intricate brackets that are essential in Rockwell Automation’s efforts. Summit DD staff also provides the support employees need to meet their goals.
“They hit every goal we give them. Most days they reach their production targets early and request more. In just a matter of months, they’ve reached a point where they’re assembling over 4,000 units a day,” stated Marks.
The new employees are passionate about their work. They take pride in completing every task. “I’m going to work here forever. When people ask me where I retired from, I’ll say Rockwell Automation!” stated Frank.
“We appreciate their diligence, determination and optimistic attitudes. It’s contagious,” remarked Rockwell Human Resources Lead, Rhonda Vaji.
