As a reminder, the following weather alert and closing information applies to Summit DD facilities and Summit DD transportation only. If you receive transportation from a private provider, be sure to contact them directly about weather updates and closings.

When the Weather Gets Bad…

  • The Summit DD Director of Services and Director of Transportation will gather important information from national and local weather sources, road condition reports from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, road clearing updates from ODOT, and closing information from surrounding school systems.
  • By 6AM, the Summit DD Directors will consult with the Superintendent to make a decision for the Agency.
