Celebrating Andrew: YMCA’s Student Volunteer of the Year

While working for a cleaning crew may be considered a “behind the scenes” type of job, Andrew Gesquiere is receiving a lot of attention. Born with Mosaic, a rare form of Down syndrome, Andrew is a hard-working 21 year old who takes pride in making his home, school and working environments look their best. Through the course of time, art has been described as “the window to man’s soul.” For Greg Caudill, this thought could not ring more true. As an artist of Summit DD’s Dream Out Loud Studio—an initiative that enables artists with disabilities to showcase their talents—Greg has been able to produce and sell countless art pieces. His beautiful brush strokes and stunning use of texture create scenes that transport viewers to different worlds of serenity and wonder.
