Disability Awareness - Project Understanding
Project Understanding Educates Local High School Students on Careers in the Disability Field
Each year the Summit DD Board holds a career day to educate high school students about careers in the disability field. Students from all over Summit County are transported to the Weaver Learning Center/Tallmadge Service Center facility complex to take part in sessions to learn about careers such as Early Intervention/Pre-School Age Education, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Physical & Occupational Therapy, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Human Resources, and more.
Schools may participate by contacting Bonnie Binns at 330-634-8873.
