The Gift Gallery by Weaver Industries
The County of Summit Developmental Disabilities Board and Weaver Industries have joined together to create the Gift Gallery by Weaver stores that feature a wide variety of rare, handcrafted items made by Summit County artisans with disabilities. Their artistry is encouraged through their individual day programs which includes creating handcrafted pottery and hand-sewn items. At the Gift Gallery you will find these products perfect for any occasion and budget, as well as gift wrap, greeting cards, gourmet treats and more. The objective is to help to support community employment opportunities and programs. The Gift Gallery offers “the right gift... at the right price... for the right reason.”
The Dream Out Loud Studio located in Ellet is the home of the Claycrafters and Custom Stitches products In addition to making clay and stitched products, artists use their talent to create paintings that are for sale in the Gift Gallery stores.
Clay Crafters is a unique group of artisans producing handcrafted, quality ceramics for nearly 20 years. Each Clay Crafters item is hand poured, cleaned, glazed and fired by Weaver Industries employees with developmental disabilities. Each artisan takes great pride in creating the finest pottery for your home. Clay Crafters products are durable for everyday use, attractive for entertaining, and decorative for your kitchen. Every item is oven, microwave, dishwasher and food safe. Our ceramics are available for purchase at the Ellet and Coventry Gift Gallery stores, at many local craft shows, and by mail order. Each item is individually handcrafted and slight variations in color and design add to the unique beauty of each piece. Custom Stitches, a division of Weaver Industries, is a unique sewing centerthat employs individuals with developmental disabilities. Trained in various stages of sewing production, from initial layout and assembly to the finishing touches, Custom Stitches artisans create beautifully handcrafted products. Custom Stitches has a large selection of home accessories sold at the Ellet and Coventry Gift Gallery stores, at local craft shows, and by mail order. Custom Stitches specializes in tote bags of various fabrics, colors and sizes. Bags can be custom screen printed for organizations and businesses for promotional or in-house needs. A special line of bags is available for use by people using wheelchairs and is sold to local hospitals, nursing homes, and rehabilitation centers.
