Denise Ricks will continue her role as Board Secretary and is an Intervention Specialist at the Buchtel Community Learning Center for Akron Public Schools. She has been an advocate and mentor for many of her students and their parents, as well as for her own daughter. Ricks began her first term in 2013.

Summit DD’s seven member Board also includes, Jennifer Dwyer (first term through December 2016), Thomas Quade (second term through December 2017) and Meghan Wilkinson (first term through December 2016).

“We sincerely appreciate and thank Randy for his leadership throughout the past few years,” remarked Summit DD Superintendent John Trunk. “And we welcome Joe to his new role as President. I have every confidence that our Officers and Board will continue to challenge us and keep us moving forward for all those we serve.”
