Over 250 people wandered the atrium of the Akron Art Museum viewing unique pieces of art and supported over 25 artists with developmental disabilities at Look Beyond: An Art Show for All Abilities on August 3.
Presented by Summit DD, Summit County Probate Court and the Akron Art Museum, more than 60 pieces of art were displayed, from colorful masks to detailed drawings, for the community to enjoy. The two-hour reception not only allowed for people to experience a wide variety of art, but also mingle with the artists.
All the art on display at the museum has moved to the first floor of the Summit County Courthouse, where it will remain on display for the public to view from August 7-18.
The art will be available for purchase after August 18.
