Participants have a Blast at Acme Game Night

Games, pizza, prizes and friends – put these together and you have the perfect recipe for a fun-filled social event. This is exactly what took place when participants from Summit DD’s Blast program attended Game Night, hosted by Acme Fresh Market in Akron.

“Blast group has been so much fun,” shared Jacob, one of the Game Night attendees. Another attendee, Barb, expressed her appreciation for Judi who has been organizing Blast events since its inception in 1996. “When it comes to doing Blast stuff, Judi is one of the nicest ladies I have ever met in my entire life,” Barb stated.

During Game Night, participants spent time catching up with friends, eating salads and pizza, spinning a prize wheel, participating in a cake-walk, creating cards for troops, and playing bingo. Game prizes were provided by Summit DD and Acme, who also donated cakes for the cake walk.

To end the day, each individual was given an Acme gift bag that contained various items, including pens, sunglasses and a family cookbook. Overall, Blast attendees agreed that they had a “blast” at Game Night. As Barb exclaimed, “I love coming to Blast. This is the best event I’ve ever been to!”
