Virtual Community Launches to Encourage Dialog and Collaboration

loop-lgYou spoke and the state listened. That’s why on Monday, July 11, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) launched a new virtual community. The site, called Loop Ohio, is meant to help individuals with disabilities and their families learn more about system changes and encourage dialog. Loop Ohio is user-friendly and features message boards, webinars and mentors to help answer questions.

According to the site, the space is “…a platform for community members and professionals to share ideas and resources, solve problems, break down barriers, connect across distance, and engage in ongoing learning.” And the community appears to be catching on with its audience, as there are already dozens of conversations and events available on the site.

Start exploring

The new virtual community is simple and free to use. Simply click Register in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage. After that, you can start exploring or engaging with others on a variety of topics.  There are new conversations and online events being added daily! Above all, it’s a great resource to learn more about Ohio’s disabilities system and get connected with others.
