Inaugural Autism Summit Focuses on the State of Autism in the Northeast Ohio Area

Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board (Summit DD) connects more than 4,000 children and adults with disabilities to resources that help them achieve their vision of a fulfilling life.

We partner with hundreds of service providers and disability organizations that, when coordinated through your Summit DD Service Coordinator, are designed to support a person’s life as a whole. One such resource is the Autism Society of Greater Akron. Its vision is to improve the lives of all affected by autism, which is why the organization is hosting a Summit on Autism on November 13, 2015.

This inaugural event will be held from 8:00a – 4:30p at the NEOMED Conference Center, in Rootstown. The Autism Summit is for anyone, including individuals with autism spectrum disorders, caregivers, family members, educators, providers, medical personnel, employers, or people who want to learn more about autism.

The event is meant to be a day to focus on discussions, learning, and sharing of Autism related topics and ideas. For a list of speakers and topics, or to register, visit the Autism Society of Greater Akron’s website.
