Barberton Mum Festival

Celebrate fall with thousands of colorful mums, live entertainment, a water ski show, canoe races, local vendors, and food trucks. Fun on the Farm: All Abilities Fall Fest

Summit Metro Parks Fall Family Outing

Free Language and Speech Screenings through provided by the University of Akron

City of Green’s Inclusive Trick or Treat Trail

The City of Green’s annual Trick or Treat Trail begins with a Sensory Friendly Trick or Treat Trail from 1:00–2:00 PM, offering a smaller-crowd experience for trick-or-treaters with sensory needs. Halloween in the Park with the Autism Society
October 18, 2026 | 12:00 PM–3:00 PM | Trail Lake Park
Enjoy an inclusive Halloween experience hosted by the Autism Society of Greater Akron and Portage Park District. Trick-or-treat in a supportive, accessible environment with no bright lights, loud noises, or requirement to say “trick or treat” or wear a costume. Come as you are! Sensory Sensitive Play Time

Inclusive Play anytime at the Hudson DREAM Inclusive Playground

New! DREAM Playground is Summit County’s first fully inclusive playground – a 24,000-square-foot play space designed for children and adults of all abilities to play, explore and connect with one another. Its features offer opportunities for active, sensory, imaginative and social play, creating an environment where everyone can participate, explore and connect. AdaptAble Recreational Youth and Adult Programming
Multiple times and dates available throughout fall | Quirk Cultural Center, Cuyahoga Falls
AdaptAble is a city program that aims to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals living with developmental disabilities to participate, connect and have fun! Programs are adapted to support people who can participate as much – or as little – as they choose. Everyone of all abilities is welcome to attend.
