Learning Aid Ohio grant opportunity for families

During this week’s Coronavirus press briefing, Governor DeWine announced a Learning Aid Ohio program grant to support children with disabilities. This program offers families who qualify up to $1,500 per family for in-person learning assistance or tutoring during distance learning.

Families can browse a list of learning providers to find the assistance they need for their family for free. These learning providers have completed background checks, and are willing and able to offer supplemental support during this unprecedented time.

Families must fill out an application and be approved by DSACO to begin services.

To qualify for the grant:

  • Must be an Ohio resident
  • Student must be on an IEP during the 2020-2021 school year.
  • Student must be learning full-time remotely
  • Experiencing a financial hardship
