Heather: NDEAM Success Story

As we close out our October celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’d like to celebrate another NDEAM success story in our community. Meet Heather. She just celebrated her five year anniversary at Giant Eagle! “I really like greeting the customers and how friendly they are to me,” shared Heather.

“I am extremely proud of Heather! She takes such pride in her work and it reflects in how the customers and her coworkers treat her. I have the privilege of having lunch with Heather once a week and someone is always stopping to say hello to her. Her smile is everything! I know that she is happy there,” proudly shared Heather’s mother Jennifer.

“I absolutely love working with Heather! She is such a positive person. She is always smiling, and always happy. When I come to visit her at Giant Eagle she is always working very hard, whether it is collecting carts, or moving items throughout the store,” commented Dayna Jacobs, Heather’s Summit DD Service and Support Administrator.
