Service Trends
Nearly 6,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities are receiving services, with continued growth among young children and school-age youth.
Emerging Needs
At the same time, more individuals are entering the system with complex behavioral and mental health needs, reinforcing the importance of investing in supports that help people remain safely in their homes and communities.
Making Local Funding
Go Further
By connecting more people with available Medicaid funding, Summit DD is preserving local tax dollars for services that Medicaid doesn’t fully cover. This helps ensure resources remain available for critical supports, including behavioral health and intensive community-based services.
Planning for Future Needs
Summit DD continues to plan ahead for individuals who may need Medicaid waiver services in the coming year. More than half of those on the list currently have other funding in place while preparing for future support needs.

Overall, we’re making meaningful progress on the priorities set by the Board. By responding to changing community needs, strengthening our long-term sustainability, and investing in services for those with the greatest needs, we’re helping more people live safely and successfully in their homes and communities.
