Fall is a beautiful time to get out and enjoy the weather here in Northeast Ohio. Here are some of the fun events to enjoy around you this fall!

Halloween events in the area

October

  • Fall Family Outing at Summit Metro Parks: Oct. 1, 2023 Fall into autumn fun at this FREE event featuring a lumberjack show, hayrides, bonfires, naturalist activities, music, refreshments and more. Visit the website for information.
  • Summit County MetroParks 1-31, 2023, Check out the Summit County MetroParks calendar of events for a variety of family fun activities for all ages and abilities
  • Tallmadge Fall Festival: Oct 7, 2023 The Tallmadge Fall Festival features live music a beer garden, local food trucks, inflatable activities for kids, hayrides, pony rides, and more! Visit the website for additional information.
  • Harvest Festival: Oct. 7-8 and 14-15, 2023 Harvest time at Hale Farm & Village is a time for natural beauty, busy farm days, and all of our favorite traditional fall scents & flavors! Guests will experience the seasonal work of a 19th century farm, while community partners demonstrate how traditions like cider pressing and fermentation have remained popular and important in our communities today!
  • Boo at the Zoo 14-29, 2023 No tricks, all treats! Put on your costume, grab a candy bag and head to the zoo for this extraordinary Halloween experience, presented by Acme Fresh Market. Visit their site for times and ticketing information.
  • Zoothing Boo at the Zoo 28, 2023 The Zoo will be opening an hour early for people with different abilities who don’t like crowds or loud noises to trick-or-treat. Event tickets are required. Tickets are separate from Boo at the Zoo general admission tickets. A limited number of tickets are available.
  • Barberton Spooktacular: Oct. 26, 2023 Ages 10 and under are welcomed to register for this kid friendly event with a trunk or treat, games, snacks, a craft and spooky decor.  Registration required.
  • CVSR North Pole Adventure : A local seasonal favorite for people of all ages, Tickets for the North Pole Adventure go on sale in early October. Visit their site for details.

November

  • Summit County MetroParks 1-30, 2023, Check out the Summit County MetroParks calendar of events for a variety of family fun activities for all ages and abilities
  • Shop-A-Holidays 4, 2023 Stop by the Zoo’s Komodo Kingdom to visit the booths of local vendors, or shop in our gift shop for all of your holiday needs. Once you are done with your shopping, explore the zoo and visit all of your favorite animals!
  • Election Day Free admission at the Zoo 7, 2023 Visit the zoo and enjoy free admission. Spend the day learning about animals throughout the zoo.
  • Lake Anna Park Holiday Lighting: Nov. 25, 2023 Holiday lights will be lit the last week of November 23 and will continue through January 1, lights are turned on at 5:00 p.m. daily and remain on throughout the night. Lake Anna Park is located at 615 W. Park Avenue in Barberton. Please call 330-861-7118 for lighting information.
  • 42nd Annual Holiday Tree Festival Nov 11-19, 2023 Get in the holiday spirit with the creative and festive trees – all decorated for a good cause! Since its beginning in 1982, the Holiday Tree Festival has raised more than $6 million for the hospital’s patient care programs, education and research.
