Inclusion is Everywhere

It’s hard to believe that just a few weeks ago, on March 2nd, thousands of Summit County residents and countless community entities joined us in celebrating Inclusion Day in honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. We laughed, we cheered, we came together and celebrated people of all abilities.

We know in times like these, it’s easy to feel excluded. If you’re feeling alone, stop, take a breath and realize inclusion is everywhere. It’s just a call, text, or email away. So pick up the phone and call someone you care about. Send a funny emoji to your friend. Email a coworker a silly joke. We are not alone. We are all working toward a common goal. No matter our race, age, gender, or ability. You are included. I am included. We are all included.

Thank you for celebrating DD Awareness Month with us. Together, we are making Summit County, the state of Ohio, and the world a better place for all.

Join us as we look back on the Inclusion Day celebration from March 2nd. And together let’s start planning how we are going to make next year’s celebration bigger and better than ever!
