Thomas Quade Thomas Quade currently serves as the Deputy Health Commissioner for Marion County. As one of Summit DD’s Board members, Mr. Quade has always had a passion for the developmental disabilities field, earning his MA in Counselor Education from the University of Cincinnati and working in a family counseling role with families who had one or more members with developmental disabilities. He chaired a National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) workgroup on Disabilities and Health for several years and currently serves on the National Board of Public Health Examiners and the Foundation to Advance Public Health through Certification. Mr. Quade also currently serves as Vice Chair of the Executive Board of the American Public Health Association (APHA), the oldest and largest public health professional association. Prior to joining Marion County, Mr. Quade served in the Summit County Health District and as the Interim Director of Health for the Akron Health Department, Akron, Ohio. Mr. Quade earned his MPH from Yale University in 1999 and a professional public health (CPH) credential in 2008 as part of the first class.
