The CPI Program Begins

Summit DD’s revolutionary Community Partnership for Inclusion (CPI) program opened up a new world of possibilities for families who have kids with disabilities.

The CPI program allowed kids to be completely integrated into their community before starting school. CPI provided tools, knowledge and hands-on training to preschools and day care programs which created capacity for kids with special needs or medical conditions. The CPI program showed these organizations how to train staff and adapt their environments to be inclusive to kids of every ability.

Countless successes, including the transitioning of children out of Calico and into inclusive child care centers, can be attributed to the creation of this program.
