Summit Metro Parks 55th Annual Fall Hiking Spree

  • September 28-30
  • The land of Oz is returning at Longwood Park in Macedonia!

Apple Picking Farms in Northeast Ohio

  • Mid-September through October
  • Apple picking season in Ohio usually beings at the end of August and runs through the end of October with different apple varieties like Honey Crisp, Golden Delicious and Jonagold ripening at different times during the season.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Fall Flyer Rides

  • October 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, 27-28
  • Climb aboard this two-hour, nonstop train ride, and take in the beautiful fall foliage in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Ohio Mart at Stan Hywet

  • October 4-7
  • The 52nd annual Ohio Mart is Stan Hywet’s annual artisan showcase and a major fundraiser for the estate. Enjoy gorgeous autumn weather and major retail therapy with talented artisans and exhibitors.

Brew at the Zoo Halloween Bash – Akron

  • October 6 at 6:30PM and 10:30PM
  • Come enjoy your favorite adult beverage while exploring the zoo after dark (21 and older only).

The 37th Annual Holiday Tree Festival at John S. Knight Center

  • Every year, more than 200 decorated trees, 85,000 strings of lights, and countless other holiday creations are displayed at the John S. Knight Center to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital.
