Recreation and Community Activities 

Summit DD connects individuals to a variety of programs that foster community involvement. Depending on your individual interest, there are many inclusive community activities and recreation opportunities available to adults with developmental disabilities in Summit County. Here are a few:

College for Living: College for Living provides multiple opportunities throughout the year to take part in and explore the many local resources available in your community. Because as we all know, communities are stronger when everyone is included. For more information or to register, visit The Blick Center’s College for Living.

Special Olympics: Special Olympics provides athletic opportunities to those interested in sports. Whether you are a first timer or a pro, Special Olymics has something for everyone. There are a variety of Special Olympics sports available throughout Summit County. Contact the Special Olympics of Ohio to learn more.

Travel Clubs: There a multiple travel groups in our area that can meet your travel needs, such as Beyond Our Boundaries and Guided Tour, to name a few. Contact your SSA or RSS if you are interested in travel.

Senior Centers: Contact your SSA or RSS if you are interested in activities for older and retired adults in your community.
