Summit DD Hosts 2nd Annual Community Give Back Day
(Tallmadge, Ohio) – On June 5th the Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board, or Summit DD, participated in their 2nd Annual Community Give Back Day. More than 140 Summit DD staff members volunteered at several local organizations including, Haven of Rest, Emerge Counseling Services, Lakemore Parks, and six different Goodwill stores throughout the county. United Way Day of Action 2016
Summit DD staff worked together to make an impact in the community for United Way of Summit County‘s Day of Action on June 17! Over 50 staff members spent their time at EMERGE Counseling Services for the annual volunteer day. Volunteers helped beautify both the inside and outside of the Akron non-profit, which provides counseling and mental health services. From landscaping and spreading mulch around the building to painting interior walls and working on small renovation projects, everyone put in hard work to make a difference. Read More ›
