Summit DD Unveils Renovation Plans, Sells Unused Buildings

(Tallmadge, Ohio) – Summit DD’s Board was the final governing body to approve a Cooperative Agreement between the County of Summit, City of Tallmadge and Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board (Summit DD) for the future use of the Summit DD Tallmadge campus on the corner of SR 91 and Howe Rd. The County of Summit Council and City of Tallmadge Council approved the agreement earlier this month. Read More ›

Summit DD Becomes Grant Partner for Dementia Training

Summit County Public Health (SCPH) was recently awarded a one million dollar grant from the Federal Administration on Community Living – Alzheimer’s Disease Program Initiative to Communities. SCPH selected Summit DD and several other partner agencies “…to enhance and strengthen existing dementia capable home and community based services in Summit County and address the dementia-care program gaps,” according to the SCPH press release.
