Inclusion Day Unites Summit County

Thousands of Summit County residents, businesses, organizations and schools kicked off Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month with a bang by celebrating Inclusion Day on March 2nd! Together we truly “painted” the town orange to spread awareness for developmental disabilities.

See what we all accomplished together in the comprehensive slideshow below! So many happy faces and SO MUCH ORANGE! Don’t forget, this is just the beginning of DD Awareness Month! See how you can continue the celebration throughout the month of March here.

A special thanks to the Akron Zoo for partnering with Summit DD yet again to host three back-to-back Inclusion Days at the zoo. We also receive so much support from countless public officials, city organizations, private disability providers, local libraries, and more. Such amazing partnerships that we value so very much!

Summit DD is a levy funded government organization that provides and coordinates essential services for nearly 6,000 people with developmental disabilities throughout Summit County. Whether it’s early intervention services for a newborn child or retirement services for a senior citizen, Summit DD provides a lifetime of support for those eligible for our services.
