An end of year message from Summit DD Superintendent, Lisa Kamlowsky:
As we prepare for the Agency’s winter break from December 24 through January 1, we want to take a moment to extend our heartfelt thanks to the individuals, families, providers, and community partners who make Summit County a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Like many County Boards throughout the state, this year has brought significant challenges. We had to make difficult decisions, always with one priority at the center, protecting supports for people with developmental disabilities and ensuring that vital services continue into the future. Throughout it all, your trust in us, your collaboration, your advocacy, and your belief in what is possible has meant more than we can express.
Even in a year marked by change, there have been powerful reminders of why our mission matters. We have witnessed individuals achieving new goals, families standing strong, and providers demonstrating extraordinary resilience and dedication. These moments inspire us and renew our commitment to the work ahead.
As we look to the coming year, we remain hopeful. Summit DD is focused on long-term sustainability, strong partnerships, and innovative approaches. These will allow us to continue meeting the needs of our community today and well into the future. We know there is more work to do, and we are committed to doing it with transparency, collaboration, and unwavering purpose.
Thank you for your continued trust in Summit DD. It is our privilege to serve this community, and we look forward to building a strong and hopeful future together.
We wish you and your loved ones a safe, joyful, and restorative winter season.
Warm regards,
Lisa Kamlowsky
Summit DD Superintendent
