Welcoming New Team Members: April 2024

Join us in welcoming the newest members of the Summit DD team! Be on the lookout for future job openings on our Careers page.

Laura Poundstone, Investigative Agent

“I started my career in residential settings for Hattie Larlham and Koinonia Homes. I worked at Cuyahoga Board of DD as an IA for five years prior teaching in multiple disabilities classrooms for 12 years in Cleveland Heights and Akron. At Summit DD, I am excited to learn more about providers and services offered in Summit County. My husband and I are the proud parents of three young adults. This fall will mark the last season we will have a son playing football at Mount Union after 6 years between our two boys. Our daughter attends Coastal Carolina so any chance to visit her is welcome because I never met a beach I didn’t like. I love getting out on all the trails our area has to offer. I enjoy listening to audiobooks as I drive and bake. I find joy in studying the bible.” – Laura Poundstone, Investigative Agent

Alyssa Roach, Accounting Associate

“I previously worked at Naturepedic in Chagrin Falls as their Accounts Payable Specialist. At Summit DD, I am really looking forward to getting to know and work with my new team. Furthermore, everyone that I’ve met here has been so welcoming and kind that I am excited to work with this organization. In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids. We like to go camping and kayaking. I also like to take daily walks with my two dogs.” – Alyssa Roach, Accounting Associate

Catherine Fry, Records Specialist

“Before coming to Summit DD, I worked at the Western Reserve Hospital Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine Center for the last 7 years. This is such a different environment than my last job in how it affects the surrounding community and I look forward to being a part of that. I am also so excited to be working with others that genuinely love their job and what they do here. In my free time I enjoy doing arts and crafts, taking my dog for walks & hikes, and baking. I recently joined Akron Roller Derby and am really enjoying being a part of that team!” – Catherine Fry, Records Specialist
