Board Member Interest Application
Our volunteer board is made up of community leaders and family of individuals with developmental disabilities, each appointed by the Summit County Executive or the Summit County Court of Common Pleas Probate Judge. We are currently looking for an individual with lived experience to join our Board and help shape the Agency's future.
Key Responsibilities of a Volunteer Board:
- Governance and Oversight: Responsible for establishing the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic goals, as well as ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Financial Management: Oversee the organization’s finances, including budgeting, fundraising, and financial reporting.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term plans to guide the organization’s future.
- Advocacy: Act as advocates for the organization, promoting its mission and work to the wider community.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with stakeholders and ensure the organization is accountable to its community.
