Summit DD is looking for a Board member with lived experience to help shape the future of our agency*. Join us on Wednesday, July 23 at 5:00pm for an informational meeting. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about how to apply to be a board member.

*The upcoming Board term runs from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2029. This position will be appointed by the Summit County Executive, Ilene Shapiro.
Key Responsibilities of a Volunteer Board:
- Governance and Oversight: Responsible for establishing the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic goals, as well as ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Financial Management: Oversee the organization’s finances, including budgeting and financial reporting.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term plans to guide the organization’s future.
- Advocacy: Act as advocates for the organization, promoting its mission and work to the wider community.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with stakeholders and ensure the organization is accountable to its community.
