A Holistic Approach to MUI
Summit DD’s MUI Department and Community Supports & Development Department presented best practices about the power of collaboration to improve health and safety at the 2023 OACB Winter Conference .
The training included:
- Discuss ways Summit DD’s MUI Team utilizes data and other agency resources for MUI prevention
- Discuss the partnership between Summit DD and The Summit County Sheriff’s Dept.
- Describe Summit DD’s Eat Safe Campaign aimed at choking prevention
- Provide suggestions on how other counties can replicate some aspects of Summit DD’s outreach
